Apple's IPad Will Lose The Monopoly Position In 2014

According to foreign media reports, recently an analysis predicts that from 2014 to 2015, Apple will lose its monopoly position in the Tablet PC market. At that time, Microsoft will re-gain the upper hand.

The analyst (http://www.joint-edges.com/) predicted that between 2014 and 2015, Microsoft will occupy approximately 10% share of the Tablet PC market, more than RIM's QNX system. However, at that time, Microsoft's share is still below iOS's 30% and Android's 50%. In the enterprise Tablet PC market, Microsoft's share is nearly 15% and QNX's share is about 10%. This indicates that RIM and Microsoft will continue to maintain customer base. Apple's iOS and Android's 30% is still the winner in this area.

As the number of suppliers Tablet PC models is more than Ipad, it is expected that from 2014 to 2015, Android Tablet PC will be a majority in the consumer market. But the iPad will to hold the largest market share in the enterprise market. Because some professional features that are implanted in the Android requires a longer time of evaluation to gain more market share.

Microsoft's moving up in the Tablet PC market is probably due to the benefit from Windows 8. Microsoft said it will install the Window 8 system on the touch-screen computer. It is said that the first Tablet PC running Windows 8 may appear in late 2012.

The analyst predicted that Window 8 will help Microsoft gain market share. In the past, Microsoft increased some unnecessary features to its operating system in the case that the consumers are against. Now, Microsoft has begun to see its problems, and changes will be made in the Window 8. The PC supply chain in Taiwan will benefit from this in the future.

The analyst of the industry said that for RIM, it is ready to launch the new QNX-based operating system - BBX in the next few quarters. Earlier this year, RIM's playbook tablets PCs have used the QNX-based operating system. But Playbok does not constitute a real challenge for iPad. Apple's iOS and Android's 30% is still the winner in the operating system market.
