Fantastic Budget Headphones - Custom Headphones Review

By Alexander Washington

The ONLY thing they need is a remote, as the control buttons are too close together making adjustments difficult while on your head. They are very comfortable and can be worn for extended lengths of time.

Very pleased with the RS180 and well worth the additional cost. These headphones are great. They feel like expensive headphones and look nice as well. But they are expensive! I really like the headphones as they have excellent quality with amazing sound. It is slightly difficult at night (in the dark) to lower the volume as the buttons are flat but once you get the hang of it they are great and you can adjust without looking at them.

I haven't encountered any interference to the headphone system caused by other appliances (wireless telephones and Wi-Fi) in my house. Nor have I encountered any interference to the other appliances caused by the headphone system.

So, to adjust the volume or balance, I've typically needed to remove the headphones to find and work the buttons. That can become a bit annoying after a while. I get perfect reception in 97 percent of my two story house and most of the back yard. They make house work a LOT less boring. I haven't used them in the basement yet but I will next time I do my laundry. I forgot the last 2 times.

My previous set of headphones was a wired set of Grado SR-60s, and these sound every bit as good to me - but wireless! Indoor range seems to be about 60 feet through 5 or 6 walls. The ultimate test was the television with 5.1 surround sound. When these headphones were plugged into the home theatre system, for the first time he was happy. He could understand the vocals separated from the music. Our prayers were answered. All three buttons are in a 1 1/2 by 3/8 inch space with almost no way to feel which button you want. Not an easy task for any fingers, much less older fingers. Like a new remote control on a new TV, yes, it does require some getting used to but we have had fantastic feedback otherwise. These are simply the best full-sized wireless headphones that I have heard. The RS180 are a blessing as far as wireless headphones go. If you're an audiophile who demands the absolute best and wants to hear every note of Tchaikovsky, it won't be on these.

They aren't as good as some wired headphones I've used in the past but they are pretty darned close. As for the range, they have dropped twice, both times when I went out onto my back porch, and then only for a second each time.
