Useful Apps for a Serious I Phone

By Herman Fisher

The sheer choice of apps on the market can actually make choosing what's worthwhile really difficult at times. There's always a lot of talk about the latest hot games, and the social networking side of things hardly needs promoting, but utility apps are sometimes overlooked. This is especially frustrating, as these are the ones that will actually help you to get more out of your phone rather than simply providing a bit of cheap, disposable entertainment.

It makes sense to talk about the office bundle first, as this is what can make your phone into a business equivalent of a Swiss army knife. Getting diagnostics is a great start. You wouldn't get a PC without having a way to easily monitor the memory and CPU processes of the machine, and smartphones shouldn't be any different. With this you're set up to see if you've got a few too many apps kicking around on the hard drive, or check that you're using the most effective Wi-fi. It leaves you feeling like less of a helpless dork when things go wrong at the very least. Along a similar vane, file viewing apps allow you to be a more potent email checker out of the office.

The cameras in i-phones are really great for some circumstance, but at times it doesn't really feel like they're making the most of their HD potential. Get a zoom program to make sure that everything looks less like it's in miniature. Also, you can get flash programs for super cheap, and they work a lot better than you might think. It does use a fair bit of battery though, so keep an eye on that.

The 'Appboxpro' package covers a lot of things that it's handy to have. With this option you get all the useful computing tools of currency converters, countdown to events, daily planner and much more. This particular example is really cheap too, so it's a good idea for a fast update.

There really does seem to be something for every problem when it comes to apps these days. Check out some of these utilities to make sure that you're getting the best you can out of this side of your phone.
