Wonderful Things You Can Do On Your Ipad

By Johnny McDaniels

iPads are very simple for people to use. Simply touch, add apps, and be on your way, right? There is a lot to learn about iPad usage and this article can help you learn everything you need to know.

Which apps are running? Many of the apps the iPad runs are able to stay in the background when you're doing other things. If you would like to view the current apps that are running, double click the Home icon. Any applications running at the time will be shown at the screen's bottom in a bar. Swipe down if you want to eliminate the bar after you are done looking.

It is possible to gain access to all apps that are currently running on your iPad. Just hit the Home button twice and a list will show up on the screen. Tapping on an app in this bar will allow you to easily switch focus to that particular app. Swipe downward on the screen to make the bar disappear.

The current applications should be something that you pay attention to at all times. Lots of iPad applications can work in the background as you complete other tasks. If you want to see what else is running on your iPad, just double-click the Home button. A bar shows up near the bottom of the screen that will list currently active apps. To eliminate this feature, simply swipe down and you will be back to the normal setting.

Do you get annoyed by the battery charge icon on your iPad's screen? It is easy to turn off. To turn off, simply enter the Settings menu. Look under the General section to locate Usage. You can quickly turn on or off the battery display.

Don't use the iPhone charger for the iPad if you don't have enough time. The wattage on the two devices is different. You will not be able to charge your iPad as quickly if you are using your iPhone charger. Use the charger that came with your iPad instead.

It's now possible to quickly mute the iPad. When iPads were first out, there weren't any buttons on it specifically for mute. With the iOS 4.3, you can now use the lock switch to mute the sound. Hold down the volume-down button to mute your iPad.

You can easily take screenshots while using your iPad. You just have to hit the sleep and home buttons together. You will then find the photo in your normal photo album.

You probably already use your iPad for music, but have you used it for podcasts? A podcast is similar to a radio program. There are many topics available. If your radio stations aren't playing any good music, then try some podcasts. No matter what your interests are, you can bet there is someone making a podcast to suit you.

To see a list of running and recently-used apps, double click the home button. This will open up a bar with all currently running apps and you can select each of them individually. This will help you remember what you are running so you can close any you aren't using anymore.

Now you can get started with your iPad since you understand it. To take advantage of everything the iPad has to offer, use the advice provided in this article. Be sure you're aware of everything it has to offer so you can get the most out of your investment!
