By Damien Beamont

How would you respond if your computer network system went on the blink today or tomorrow?Would you know how to correct the situation? If you are like most people, you probably don't know the first thing about data recovery. What makes matters even worse is that you probably have not done anything to prepare for such a great loss.

Sadly enough, no one knows when your computer will crash.Anything could take place. The building's pipes could burst and flood the office spaces.Or, there could be a severe thunderstorm in the area that causes a power outage.Either one of these could impact your company files. What would you do to recover? You should devise a data recovery plan. You company could be in serious trouble without one.As a matter of fact it could keep them from having to file bankruptcy. So, it is time to make plans right now.You might never ever lose your company files. But, it never hurts to be proactive just in case something does happen.

Are you backing up your files every day?If not, what is stopping you?If so, how are your files being copied?Does your company prefer onsite backup or virtural backup? How many times do you backup your files? These questions might seem too technical, but if you want to make sure that your company is operational after a severe thunderstorm, then it should not bother you.Only a few actions are needed in order for your company to remain safe from harm. Also, it will stop your company's possible liability.

You should always have a copy or back up of the company's most essential computer files. These files should be stored in off-site locations. If a natural disaster or internet break occurs, ensure that backup copies are safe.

A lot of people don't know the first thing about data recovery plans. But, backing up your files is the smartest means of keeping them safe.Create a back up schedule and stick with it.There are some companies that only back up their files every week. Find out which frequency works best for your company and use it.This might seem like a hassle at first. However, knowing that the company's vital information is free from harm will be a huge motivator.

Once the files are backed up, make sure that the backup copies are safely stored at the off site location.Find a wonderful data storage solution like appassure to do this for you.The company that you use will most likely let you retrieve your files via an online server. The files will be in a safe spot waiting for you.
